This is a simple worksheet to help you build your own Forages*.
- Pick a topic (Beatrix Potter, for example)
- Find your spine, or main living books, most often a chapter book (A biography)
- Find picture books related to your spine
- You can use a read-aloud chapter book other than your spine to supplement your Forage(One of her chapter books)
- Jot down as many Berry Pickings* as come to mind (rabbits, squirrels, nature study, watercoloring, England geography, Victorian Era history, etc…)
- Don’t forget to write down other resources you might want to use (where to find a watercoloring class, in person or online)
*Forage: a unit study.
*Berry Picking: the different subjects or topics in the Forage.
