Announcing our Advent Adventures Plans!

I know, I know it’s way too early to talk about Advent. But is it, really? No, it’s not… I just wanted to let you all know about what I have been working on for Advent here on the blog, so that you may be able to order the books from your library or your favorite book seller (or keep an eye out for them at the thrift store, now is a good time for that).
This year I am planning on doing another author/illustrator Advent, similar to last year’s Patricia Polacco delightful Advent Adventures series. This year I will be featuring Jan Brett!
I will also feature All About Advent and Christmas: Sharing the Seasons of Hope and Wonder with Children by Katherine Bogner, illustrated by Shari Van Vranken for our faith element. This blog post will come very soon.
A Jan Brett Advent Adventure
Not as deep and moving as Patricia Polacco’s real life stories, Jan Brett’s picture books always delight me for their artistic beauty and delightful stories.
The books we will be enjoying together on our way to Christmas will be

- The Twelve Days of Christmas by Jan Brett
Each Picture Book Exploration will be released at the end of the week prior to the book being read. This will be a very simple read and have fun format with minimal prep required.
